Gary was the star on Chanel 4s series 'The Big Art Project' Gary has also appeared on The One Show, Look North West, Granada Report. Gary was a miner(following in family footsteps at Sutton Manor Colliery for 19years before being made redundant. My Life at Manor tells story of growing up in mining family. Gary is classically trained musician who has appeared in 2 world music festivals. In his teens he sang in rock bands playing pubs throught the north. In 1978 he formed an act to play the Norths working mens clubs culminating in an appearance in1979 on TV's Opportunity Knocks 'Ey up the pies have cum' tells story of the Northern Workingmen's clubs My Life In Holidays tells stories of how going on holiday has dramatically changed in the last 40 years
