Crewe & Nantwich Group
Our meetings take place on the second Tuesday of the month at 'Wishing Well', Jubilee House, St Paul's St, Crewe, CW12QA. For parking use postcode CW12PT which is Victoria centre carpark (Asda car park at the top end). There is now a charge for evening parking on this car park. There is a charge of £2 to members of FHSC and £3 for non-members of FHSC, refreshments included.
Most meetings include a speaker presenting on a family history or local history topic, there is also ample time to chat with other members, share stories and research tips, as well as successes and failures!
During the winter months we hold our meetings via Zoom, full details are always published on the Events section of the website and can also be seen down the right-hand column of this page.

Crewe Research Centre

Our experienced and knowledgeable volunteers are always on hand to help and guide you no matter what your level of expertise; be you just starting out on your family history journey or more advanced. We are here for all, with suggestions, advice and expert local knowledge.
The Research Centre is located at Units 3 & 4, Brierley Business Centre, Mirion Street, Crewe, CW1 2AP. The rooms are on the ground floor so there are no accessibility issues, there is free on-site parking, with a small number of disabled parking spaces. On arrival visitors need to press the doorbell button for FHSC on the left-hand side of the main entrance, one of our volunteers will come to the door and let you in, or you may be simply 'buzzed' in.
The Centre is open to members and visitors between 10am and 4pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, with one Saturday opening a month. That date is advertised in the monthly newsletter from the Crewe & Nantwich Group, for more details of how to join the group, click HERE
The telephone number is 07352 454501, please leave a message outside opening hours and we will return your call as soon as possible.
We would normally ask that you book if you are travelling any distance so that we can be sure that you have the equipment, resources and a volunteer available to help you. Please contact Margaret Spate with requests for either day on adding "Research Centre" in the subject line.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available within the centre, with refreshment outlets within a short walking distance.
Additional charges are made for any copying or printing, which can only be undertaken within copyright law.
There is no set admission charge, but we welcome donations to help with the running expenses.
We look forward to welcoming both current and new members to the Crewe Research Centre, not forgetting any new volunteers.
