Please try and come for a visit, you will be made most welcome by our friendly volunteers and you never know, you may just find that elusive ancestor. Please note we are located on the first floor and we regret there is no lift. For more information see Mobberley Research Centre Documents for our holdings a guide for visitors.
Admission of members
There is an admission charge of £3 per visit. This helps towards our running costs but includes tea or coffee as required and free parking on Ilford Way at the side of the building. Membership status may be checked on arrival. Our rules are similar to those at most record offices and will be pointed out to you on arrival. Lockers are available for personal belongings and small bags etc., so please do not bring large bags to the Research Centre.
Admission of non-members
Non-members are welcome, but preferably should make a booking by telephoning the centre during normal opening hours. The cost of entry for a non-member will be £5 per visit. If the visitor joins the Society on the day of the visit, the entry charge will be refunded. Non-members will be required to sign a form of agreement to abide by our regulations upon entry to the centre. We reserve the right to refuse admission to the centre.
