FHSC has welcomed individuals who are eager to explore their roots since 1969, which makes us the oldest county-based family history society in the UK. Whether you're just beginning your family history journey or you're an experienced researcher, FHSC is here to guide, support, and inspire you every step of the way. 

 If you upgrade to a higher level of membership you will only be charged the difference between your active membership and the new one and it will last until the expiry date of your current membership.

NB

- All new subscriptions use recurring automatic payments. This is a digital equivalent of a direct debit. You will have a button that allows you to cancel your membership at teh end of the current subscription without contacting FHSC.

- All v1 plans are auto renewing using Stripe subscription processing

- None v1 plans need to be renewed each year by you but you can only renew your membership up to 120 days before your expiry date. This is to prevent accidental multiple renewals.

- If you wish to change the type of membership you have, e.g. Printed to Digital, then it is recommended you wait until your old membership expires.

- You can convert from printed to digital at no cost but if you do it too early then you will have wasted some of your subscription fee. As a result you should only perform this action after you have received your final printed Cheshire Ancestor for the term of your membership.
